MUSIC FANS, RHYTHM PLAYERS, AND ENTHUSIASTS OF ALL AGES, SKILL LEVELS, AND INTERESTS ARE WELCOME!

Cory Wong’s Syncopated Summer Camp is a four-day, four-night deep dive into rhythm, groove, and good vibes—built for musicians and music fans of every level. Whether you’re a seasoned player, a curious beginner, or a passionate fan, our thoughtfully designed programs offer workshops, activities, and experiences tailored just for you.

This camp isn’t about competition or pressure. It’s about learning, playing, listening, connecting, and getting inspired in a supportive, non-competitive environment. We’re here to celebrate the joy of music, the beauty of rhythm, and the magic that happens when people get together and play. If you’re under 16, bring an adult and let’s groove.

An Invitation from Cory

I am thrilled to announce the return of the Syncopated Summer Camp on August 13-16, 2026, in San Francisco. This will be an action-packed four days and nights filled with lessons, workshops, live performances, jam sessions, and syncopated sixteenth notes!

The last two years have been a blast for both the faculty and the students, and I’m thrilled to take the experience of the last two years to make an even better camp for all.

The jam sessions will be instructor-led and theme-focused, along with adjusted scheduling.

This camp is for musicians who want to further develop their skills on guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. If you play any of these instruments, this camp is for you!

If you know me at all, you know that I am very passionate about rhythm, groove, pocket, and time feel. We are going to discuss and explore all of these topics and more. Each night will feature a concert from me, my band, and our special guests. I’ll be teaching more breakout sessions this year to uncover a lot of the techniques and artistry of my playing. I’ve handpicked all of the instructors not only for their experience and expertise but also for their ability to articulate how and why they do the things they do. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn directly from the best of the best.

Every morning, there will be a breakout session for you to focus on your particular instrument, followed by a group masterclass. We’ll take a break for lunch, and in the afternoon, we’ll come back for another breakout session and a group masterclass with our special guest for the day. At night, there will be a concert,  and afterwards we’ll have several jam rooms for you to get together with other campers and instructors!

This camp is for everyone, from beginners to advanced levels. We will have specific lessons each day that will cater to your ability level. The beauty of these rhythm section concepts is that they apply to all skill levels!

Peace!
Cory
